Shipping Protection Policy

Shipping Protection is optional at checkout. If selected, it can provide coverage for certain shipping issues such as damage, loss, or theft during transit. If it is not selected, shipping risk is not covered by Shipping Protection.

What Shipping Protection Is

Shipping Protection is an optional add-on you can select before checkout. It is intended to give your order an extra layer of protection if something goes wrong during shipping.

Checkout wording may appear like: Package Protection — Covers Damage, Loss, Theft.

What can be covered?
Coverage may apply to eligible shipments reported as lost in transit, damaged in transit, or stolen, where supported by required documentation. Eligibility and outcomes depend on the review process and evidence submitted.

How Shipping Protection Works

  1. You report the issue by emailing us your order number and what happened.
  2. We open a carrier investigation with UPS when required.
  3. If UPS confirms the package is lost, stolen, or not recoverable, we can issue a credit based on the approved outcome.
  4. In some cases, UPS will attempt to recover the package. If recovery is successful, delivery may continue. If not, the case moves toward final resolution.

Coverage decisions depend on investigation status, documentation, and eligibility review.

Investigation Timeline

UPS investigations vary by situation, but most outcomes generally follow this process:

  • Recovery attempt window: UPS may attempt to locate and recover the package, which can take up to 30 days in some cases.
  • Maximum timeline: investigations typically do not exceed 45 days from the time the trace or claim process is initiated.

Once UPS confirms a final status such as lost, stolen, or not recoverable, we can move forward with resolution based on the approved claim outcome.

If the package is recovered during the investigation, UPS may resume delivery.

What Shipping Protection Does Not Cover

  • Carrier delays when tracking still shows active movement
  • Issues caused by an incorrect or incomplete address entered at checkout
  • Orders delivered to the correct address where required documentation is not provided
  • Claims submitted without required photos, documents, or within required timelines
  • Situations where the carrier investigation concludes the package was correctly delivered and no claim is approved

Carrier investigations and documentation are often required for review.

How To File a Shipping Protection Request

Email us at info@FriscoLabs.com with the subject line Shipping Protection Request and include:

  • Order number
  • Full name
  • Email used at checkout
  • Shipping ZIP code
  • What happened — lost, damaged, or delivered but not received
  • Photos if damaged, including box, label, and items

Keep all packing materials until your request is resolved, since they may be required for review.

Delivered but not received — what should I do first?
Check around your delivery location, verify the address, and contact UPS to open a delivery trace. Then email us your order number and trace details so we can assist with next steps.
My tracking says “Label Created” — is that normal?
Yes. “Label Created” means the label was generated. UPS scans can take time after pickup. Once scanned, tracking will begin showing movement.

Liability Statement

Shipping Protection is offered at the customer’s discretion. If you deselect Shipping Protection, you acknowledge that shipping outcomes are not covered by this optional protection program.

If Shipping Protection is selected, coverage is still subject to carrier confirmation, eligibility review, documentation, and claim timelines.
